George A. Piniotis

Surveying Engineer

George Piniotis studied Surveying Engineering at National Technical University of Athens (2000). He has received an M.Sc. in Surveying at University College London (2002) and he is currently elaborating his PhD thesis in the research area of "Structural Health Monitoring" at National Technical University of Athens.

Since 2000, he is a registered professional engineer (member of Technical Chamber of Greece) and operates as a freelance Surveying Engineer within Aenarcon. Since 2007, he works as a Surveying Engineer in the Laboratory of General Geodesy of the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, being involved in Education and in state of the art research projects.  

He has worked on many complex projects covering all aspects of land and building surveying, including projects for the 2004 Olympic Games that took place in Athens-Greece. He has the ability to face every project’s special challenges by introducing innovative 3D-surveying engineering methods stemming from his extensive educational and professional background.
